Athlete Registration


Registration is open to ladies national university teams in FISU Member Countries. Official invitations have been sent to the 167 member National University Sporting Federations. The International Netball Federation has also informed their members of the tournament invitations. Please contact your National University Sporting Federation for inquiries about team registration. Teams are required to pay an initial deposit of 5,000 EURO.  This is due with the initial entry form by February 13th, 2016.  A further 25% of participation fees is required by April 13th, 2016.  The remaining balance is due prior to or on July 11th, 2016.  Participation fees are 70 EURO per person for 8 days.  Per agreement with the International Netball Federation an official fee will also be paid by each team.  This amount is to be paid in addition to the participation fee.  In addition a breakage/cleaning fee of 300 EURO is due.  Teams will also be required to pay to FISU a 20 EURO per person fee for FISU members and 40 EURO per person for non members.  This will be billed to teams separately from FISU.

Only the following may participate as competitors in the Universiade:

a. students who are currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at the university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country;

b. former students of the institutions mentioned in a. who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event.

All competitors must satisfy the following conditions:

a. be a national of the country they represent;

b. be at least 17 and less than 28 years of age on January 1st in the year of the event.  For 2016, athletes must be born between 01/01/1988 and 31/12/1998.
